On the first day of the rugby competition Canada defeated New Zealand 38-35 behind strong contributions from their 3 2 1.5 1.5 line and their Deuces Wild line. US rugby opened up their NAC competition with a decisive 36-27 win over New Zealand. All 12 players representing the US this weekend saw court time with their speed and intensity setting the tone for the weekend and beyond. The first day of rugby wraps up with US vs Canada at 5 pm CST.

Contrary to popular belief, according to the IWRF rules there is NO RULE concerning the rear of the main wheels making first contact if pushed back against a wall. I believe this was an old USQRA rule and unfortunately some refs. are still trying enforcing it. I am NOT refering here to ARTICLE 27. ANTI-TIP DEVICES.
