2009 Beast of the East
Wheelchair Rugby
Tournament

Here are the details for the Beast of the East. The tournament will be held November 21-22, 2009. This will be a Saturday-Sunday only tournament. Games are scheduled to begin 9am on Saturday morning. Breakfast and lunch will be served both days, as well as dinner on Saturday.

This hotel is 30 minutes from the gym. Rooms reserved under “Magee Eagles Quad Rugby”. They have 6 w/c accessible rooms, including two with roll in showers. The bathroom doorways in the regular rooms are wide enough for wheelchairs, but turning around might be a challenge. Unfortunately, all rooms have regular door knobs without handles. The hotel has a cool game room and nice bar and restaurant. Rooms are $89 plus tax per night.

We also have a block of rooms held at the Best Western in West Deptford, NJ. The hotel is five minutes from the gym.

The price is $84 plus tax per room per night, and they'll hold the rooms until October 21st. The rooms are held under “Magee Eagles”. They have accessible rooms, but no roll-in showers.

Classification
There will be a classification panel at the Beast, so please send me your rosters ASAP and indicate any players you plan to protest. If you have anyone interested in being trained to be a classifier, the classifier clinic begins Friday afternoon.

Registration
Registration is $350. Please make checks payable to “Magee Foundation” and mail to my attention at the address below.
