9. Eliminated devices attached to the chair to hold the ball in place resulting in a mechanical advantage.
Does this mean that no straps are allowed to cross the tops of the legs from the knees to the hip or does this just affect those guys that mounted "roll cages" across the front of their chairs?

We are awaiting interpretation from the IWRF Technical Committee, it has been promised before our domestic season. It is the USQRA's understanding and we have instructed the USQRRA that any device that impedes the ball from being swatted forward off the lap will be illegal, including straps intended solely to hold the ball.
