The USQRA crowned its D1 and D2 National Champions in Louisville this past weekend. Congrats to the Texas Stampede and Sharp Edge respectively, their players, volunteers, and fans. Great job!

Congratulations also to all the teams that made the championship and to all the member teams who competed in the USQRA this season. There were 38 tournaments held and almost 900 games played!

The weekend was stressful starting with the airline fiasco and the drama and controversy seemed to carry on throughout the weekend. Spokes Ableman called me and he has some thoughts on some of that. The professionalism of Jill Farmer and Karey McDowell showed the way, however. Their yeoman efforts and great attitude went along way in making this all work.

Our sponsors were great. Our apparel sold well. The auction was a success.

It is difficult to thank everyone and if you try, it seems you manage to forget someone. (I managed to read past Ed Suhr's name as a member of Team USA at the banquet even though it was on my sheet.) So thanks to everyone on every team who put out the effort to make the 2007/2008 season happen.
