Hi everybody,

Via this medium I want to inform all of you about an upcoming event. If there are any questions you can find me on Facebook or email address as listed below.

With kind regards,

Joost Mol and Marco Dispaltro.

The Florida Project is a high level elite wheelchair rugby training program developed for Top National Team Athletes. Participation is limited, so if you are interested please submit your application in writing to Joost Mol (Project Recruiter and Assistant Pro...ject Coordinator) at rugbyjoost@yahoo.com and or via Facebook and give me your preferred dates. The Project is overseen by Marco Dispaltro, former manager of Team Canada and current head coach of Team Sweden with assistance from many others. The Project is made possible with the help of the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation department and the South Florida Rattlers wheelchair rugby Team.

The practice facility is located in Lake Worth, Florida (2728 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461). Closest airport is West Palm Beach airport. Miami airport is about 110km away and Ft-Lauderdale is 65km away from the Lake Worth area. The gym floor is hard rubber and home of the Knock and Roll Tournament, its air conditioned and special arrangements can be made to store your chairs during your stay.

To get to Florida and also once in Florida you will be responsible for all lodging, transportation and any other expenses you might incur. There will also be a weekly administration fee for the use of the gym of approximately USD 25.00 per athlete payable to the administrators of the facility at the beginning of each week.

Potential costs for flights, car rental and lodging are: - Flights: it varies, check out your local airlines;) - Car rental is about USD 250-500 a week depending on the type of vehicle you want. - Lodging is about USD 75-250 a day (many different type hotels are available but no hotels are within pushing distance of the gym).

If you are interested in renting a house or apartment, costs vary from USD 1500-6000 a month but you must rent for a minimum of 3 months in most cases. A good idea is to check out www.homeaway.com (or similar websites). This website allows you to search and view accommodations in the Lake Worth area. So you can search it yourself.

The Florida Project schedule is from early February to late March 2011: practice days are on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Wednesday evening training with the Rattlers is also possible for those interested in Coral Springs; it's about a 1 hour drive from Lake Worth.

Specific dates for training are: February: 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28 March: 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25

Practice time will be from 11:00am to 13:00pm on most days. Please do arrive on time at 10:00am to get ready to go by 11:00am and cool down and leave the gym by 14:00.

The camp will be by invitation only and only open to 15 players at a time. Please submit your application and dates of participation as soon as possible. You are free to attend for the duration of the camp or for whatever period you desire but I need your dates of participation to establish the schedule and not go over 15 athletes per session.

Rugby staff people are also welcomed (coaches, refs, classifiers, table officials and everyone else associated with wheelchair rugby). The same conditions listed above apply to staff except for the USD 25 per week administration fee which is waived.

See you in sunny Florida and let me know if you need more information. I will try to answer you a.s.a.p.

Joost Mol (and Marco Dispaltro and many others operating in the background) are available to answer your questions.
