We would like to get membership and viewer input on the USQRA's first live webcast. The games are still archived on the video page: http://usqra.tampadigital.com/ – and keep in mind that the live feed to your computer was dependent on the speed of the service at the venue and your service as well.

A few questions:

Did you enjoy the broadcast?

Any suggestions?

Do you think we should do it again?

Your input is important.

Thanks,

Ed Hooper, President USQRA

Glued to the Screen

I've seen about all the footage... Thought it was awesome!!
Suggestions? Maybe if we could link the game clock and/or the 40 second clock, that would be cool..
And, maybe not use the word "eh" so much.. LOL

Brilliant Idea!

I must commend whomever came up with the idea. I watched all the games and was very impressed, especially being this was your first attempt at such a feat.

Dave Willsie may have missed his calling! His knowledge of both the sport and the players alike, added a wealth of information for the viewer to absorb.

Suggestions?....I have no idea how video over the internet works, but better picture quality would be #1 on my list. There was also quite a bit of glare off of that very shinny Lakeshore floor, depending on which direction the camera was shooting.

Since most viewers probably don't know the players personally, maybe a short bio on each?

Get the word out sooner next year, maybe start talking it up at the beginning of the season so word-of-mouth has time to circulate.

I definitely would like to see this become standard at the Nationals from here on out. It has the ability to not only raise awareness of the sport, but raise it to a new level.

Players and fans alike, please chime in on this topic. Get off your a$$ and speak up, let Ed know what you think....good or bad. This forum is WAY to quiet these days.....voice your opinion.....be heard!

Nationals...

Tom Vesco is right, there was a glare coming from the floor...welcome to Lakeshore, and the big windows throughout the gym. I have played at Lakeshore and have filmed games at Lakeshore...and the glare is just something that you either get used to, or hate. But it would be interesting to hear a players perspective, on dealing with the sun and the glare.

For Nationals alone...it was great to get the opprotunity to view games, but I personally would like to have seen more. Opening round games would have been fun to see, just to get an ideal of what the weekend was going to be like. Also those overtime games would have been fun to watch, I know you can not predict that a game would go into overtime...let alone double overtime. But figuring a way to have the capability to film more games, is the first step that I would take to improve Nationals.

Good Day,

G. Bush

Great production

Hi All,

It was awesome to be able to watch online the best quad rugby on the planet.

The commentary was great. Camera work, excellent...it all looked and sounded really professional.

Someone else suggested having a shot clock on screen...great idea.

The online streaming experience can be improved.

I believe the streaming experience would be greatly improved if the games were shot in Hi-Def. When the video player is maximized to full screen, the sharpness of the picture is reduced significantly. I believe Hi-Def cameras would fix the problem.
